Liquid or Physical Damage

Stop using a terminal that has been exposed to liquid or has significant physical damage.

What to Do

  1. Stop processing transactions.
  2. Disconnect power only if it is safe to do so.
  3. Do not attempt to open, dry, or repair the terminal.
  4. Record any visible damage.
  5. Contact support for service or replacement assistance.

Examples of Physical Damage

  • Cracked or damaged housing
  • Damaged charging or connection ports
  • Exposed wiring
  • Liquid inside or around the terminal
  • Damaged card reader or screen

Important: Do not continue using a terminal that may be unsafe.
