Use these steps to connect a Z8, Z9, or Z11 terminal using the AURA or Legacy interface to a supported Wi-Fi network.
Before You Begin
- Have the Wi-Fi network name and password available.
- Make sure the wireless network is active and within range.
Connect to Wi-Fi
- Open the terminal's Core or Utility communications menu.
- Open the Wi-Fi settings and scan for available networks.
- Select the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password directly on the terminal.
- Connect and wait for the terminal to show a connected network status.
- Return to the idle screen and confirm the terminal can communicate.
If the Network Does Not Appear
- Move the terminal closer to the wireless access point.
- Confirm a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network is available.
- Check whether the network name contains unusual or special characters.
Contact Support If
- The network appears but repeatedly fails to connect.
- The network requires a captive portal or enterprise certificate.
- Other devices are also unable to connect to the network.
Important: Enter the Wi-Fi password directly on the terminal. Do not send your Wi-Fi password through chat or support messages.
